Weekly Email

Dear Mom,

We get however much time we need but we also want/need to do lots of other things too, at the beginning of p-days we drop our clothes off to be cleaned, play soccer for 2 hours, eat, write, shop, and thats about it... I read all my letters online, and dont really need them printed off or anything like that. Elder Gutierrez from Querétaro, Mexico. Elder Vasquez from Maryland. Elder Flores from Mexico City, Mexico. Cambios (changes) happen every 6 weeks but you dont ever know if you are going or staying. Dont know when Zone conferences are for sure but it is like every 3-6 months or something like that.... I have no idea what the street names are around you, We are not really by the chapel but if you see a bridge go that direction and we actually live in a house a block away from a big Catholic church and a park. HAHAHA you dont have to buy all the movies just make a list of the good ones and I will rent them or something when I get back. Sounds like you had a good Anniversary :) glad for that, and I date all my letters I send her. I am taking pictures but not a ton because there isnt really things to take pictures of... hahahaha
Sounds like your Easter was pretty good, glad we got a new Wii and it will probably be a lot better than the one we used to have... hahaha you should have gotten an X-Box though ;) hahahahaha Glad you had a good dinner and had fun with Grandma and Grandpa and Shelly. There is a good 40-50 members in our ward and we are only over one ward, we have a pretty small area. I am in Veracruz and I am pretty much the farthest away that you can be in the mission.

This Cambio we got a new elder in the house. I bought a toaster for 95 pesos which is like 8ish dollars. So I have had toast throughout this week and it was awesome!!! hahahaha the only thing that is lacking is a good frozen glass of milk. :/ This week while we were walking around I nailed my head on a metal covering for something, none of the other houses have it and I was looking away talking to my companion, I got a nice goose egg and a permanent headache throughout the week. You should get a picture of it. Also have done a lot of service this week, around two and a half days worth. The first day I destroyed my hands with a sledgehammer!!! I got 6 blisters and the Mexicans all laughed at me and they think that this is the first time I have ever done work like that before. It was kinda frustrating cause I couldnt really explain to them that I just spent two months in the MTC and I left during the winter when we dont do work like that because there is snow on the ground. hahahaha oh well. hahaha Their version of Easter is call ´´Semana Santa´´ which means holy week, They get work and school off for two weeks to ´´celebrate´´ the week before and after Christ´s resurrection. They also all go on vacation, so really nobody was here, all the shops were closed and we really didnt do too much this week... This week will pretty much be the same too because this is the final week.

Don´t know about Mother´s Day because appartently here Mothers Day is on the 10th and in America my calendar says it is on the 8th. So I really dont know about that. I know it can be a 30-40 minute call, but I dont know what day or when in that day for sure.... hahahaha :/ I have been trying to figure it our for about a week so we could figure something out...

Well thats about it, Love you guys!!!! and miss you !!!!!
Love Bud,

p.s. I cant believe I am missing Jessica in glasses, she looks.... awesome in that picture hahahah I want to see one when she is all dressed up too, But the picture of the Easter dresses, i thought to myself... it is a good thing I am getting back when she turns 16, because the boys are going to be all over her!!! hahahaha I will also have a machete too :)

100 days down...

McKenna came into my room so excited the other day because Kristopher had it the 100 day mark! Here is his letter from this week.

Sounds Like the weather is keeping its pace with what it is usally like hahahaha! Hope you are having fun on Spring Break. I did get my greenie package! Thanks ! It was awesome hahahaha Love the total greeness of it... It does sound like a usual soccer game hahaha unfortunately, I know pretty much everyone and thanks for the pictures they are awesome!!! I am in Veracruz, Tecnologico and the Ward is Tecnologico... I will try the picture thing but another day, They always take way long and we dont really have that much time, and I would rather write to you... hahaha Just know I am still smiling as always :)
The weather is really warm and humid... That´s about it, it has not rained yet but June and July are apparently the big rain months so we will see. The food is absolutely fine and actually pretty good, if anything I might actually gain weight ( hahahahahahaha funny joke) but I definitely wont lose any. At least here. Apparently I got the best area for food and everything, so I am being eased into it and it only gets worse from here ;) hahaha
How did the Wii brake!?!?!?! hahaha Kim´s sister-in-law does a lot of things with wii so you could ask her to see if she can get the info off of it... She has a wii with pretty much everything on it and it is awesome hahaha
Towners are moving!!! I would have never seen that coming at all!!! thats kinda sad, I liked that whole family (Jordan and Angela) a lot, they were awesome.
Well here are the events in my week. So for lunch we go to members houses everyday and everyday there is a different type of water! It is really good, it is just a fruit blended up and then added to the water. We also contact awesome too, we just go up to a house and yell Buenos Dias, Tardes, or Noches depending on what time it is. Then the people come and we contact hahahaha it is awesome, and everyone yells in different tones too hahaha I bought a small rubiks cube and am teaching my companion how to do it, it is kinda difficult seeing how I have to explain it in Spanish... Sunday was good, I gave a talk on the Atonement in sacrament meeting. I thought it went really well but I dont know because nobody said anything about it to me... But it´s what I think that matters hahahaha. We did some service for a sister Sunday night, we laid tubes so water could drain or something. It took all night. But the frustrating part about Sunday is that none of our investigators will come to church!!! All the lessons go great and They do pretty much everything else, they just wont come to church hahahaha urghh!
Well thats about it for me this week nothing else too exciting happened, oh during our lessons we had the investigator pray and when he said amen both him and his sister ( I think) were crying... It was good so now thats about it.
Tell Kim sorry about the letters, but they should be coming and I wont stop sending them it is just when I send them, It may be a space of one, two, or even three weeks until I can send one :/
Also enjoy your anniversary this upcoming weekend!!!! what is it the 20th or 21st???

Well love you guys be safe, have fun, and remember I love you

Love Buddy

This Week's Update!

Update for the week! With all the hahahaha's I can tell he is still happy and smiling! Just ignore the strange inside jokes! They will only make sense to some people! No pictures this week. He sent me 2 but I can't download the format.

My week was good, Last monday i bought three ties for 120 pesos, 10 DOLLARS!!!! BEST THING EVER!!! hahahaha one is purple, red and blue striped, and black silver and white striped, also bought a bag that has all the MEXICO on it and some symbol that looks cool. I also bought a "mexican" shirt, They are all cool, and am going back in a couple weeks to buy shorts, jerseys and other cool stuff because they are all really cheap down here apparently! So apparently nobody uses chapstick down here because everytime I have used they all laugh at me... That´s not going to stop me, I like chapstick hahaha. We also have train tracks in our mission, so we were walking on them and heard a train coming so we hurried and put pesos on it and the train smashed them. It was fun. So the reason I had to hurry last week was because my companion had to buy shoes, so we were shopping for shoes for around one hour and fifteen minutes!!! It was soooo boring hahahaha! I would much rather shop with you! hahahaha Also during my studies I found out something really cool!!!!!! (at least it is to me) That on October 24, 1841 Elder Orson Hyde climbed the Mount of Olives and dedicated Jerusalem.... 150 years later, I was born!!! hahahahahaha I thought that was sooo cool!!! Also we had a little chess tournament to see who would buy the pizza, it was me against another Elder in our house and it was the best of two I won the first night and he won the second night. Then after about 2.5 hours of chess I was all Chessed out hahahaha So we just all payed and I offered to pay the most because I was the one that backed out. But the cool thing is that apparently the other Elder before his mission was like on this chess team and was in tournaments and was the second best on his team... and he lost to me, who likes to play dad everyonce in a while and he still beats me everytime... I guess it does make a difference though when you really think of what you are going to do and how you can actually beat them hahahaha Yes I did feel the earthquake and it was awesome!!! hahahaha At first I thought it was just me and I was like wow am I alright then another elder asked if I felt it and I was like yeah hahaha it was cool, it lasted for about 35ish seconds!!! It was cool to feel but I dont want to feel any worse of one.... hahahaha Well the last thing is I found out what really happened to Eliceo: apparently he is addicted to the smell of paint fumes. He robbed some people for money to buy it and somehow is grandpa found out and wasnt having any of that hahaha so the grandpa and an aunt of Eliceo basically tricked him into going into town with them and dropped him off at a Christian Rehab Center thing. He will be there for the next year and for the first two months he is not allowed any visitors at all. hahaha That is crazy!!! so there goes our potential baptism hahahaha
Well thats about it!!! LOVE YOU GUYS keep your heads up and always smile :)

Love Buddy :) cause I love you ;) hahahahahahaha So funny ;) BANAaaaNA!!!

Here is this week's letter! Sounds like he is doing well!

My week was good! We go to places that have like 8 computers for people to use and you have to pay to use them but it isnt bad. When I went into the hole we were at the stake center. I dont know how often I get my mail, because everytime I ask someone they give me a different timeline... hahahaha I get the package tomorrow. I am excited! Kim said she had lots of fun, both on the girls night and Sunday. Bummer that you didnt see me... hahaha I was hoping I was in it. hahahaa I dont know why I was doing that face... ahahaha sorry, didnt mean to freak you all out... Yes he doesnt know a lot of English but he is learning actually really fast. I dont think the files have been too big for pictures so keep them coming hahaha
The pictures of the parade were taken by one of the other elders in the house. It is a thing called Carnaval. It is bad... ahaha so he took a picture while it wasn't going.
Tell Kim I sent her a letter on March 29 and today and I have no idea when she will get them. I also dont know if i will be able to send her a letter every week because the mail place is far away, but i should be able to every 2 or so... :/
This week I found out that saying stupid down here is pretty much like a swear word... hahahaha oops, i also just happened to say it at a baptism, thankfully there were just missionaries in the room because it hadn't started yet. On Wednesday we had a capatacíon (training) for the newer missionaries about teaching prayer and the Book of Mormon. It was good, President Castañeda did it. I also gave the opening prayer... hahahaha. Then I got back and my companion told me that Eliceo, the 14 year old that was being baptized the Saturday, went out drinking Tuesday night and now we have to wait a couple more weeks... bummer! I also got to help with homework. I started with 7th grade math and when I read the paper I didnt understand what it said. So I got bumped down to 3rd grade math, I understood what it said but I couldnt explain how to do it in Spanish. So then I got bumped down to copying crosswords. hahahahahaha
I have a normal shower that just shoots out cold water in a single line. It feels good though since it is so hot down here. One of the members has a laundromat and she does our laundry for us.
Conference was good! I had to watch and read the subtitles in English but it was really good!!!! I especially liked the part at the very end when President Monson starts to say "In three weeks the entire Christian world is going to..." I thought HOLY COW he is calling us all to Missouri!!! hahaaaha but no "celebrate Easter" hahahaa not as dramatic. But it sure gave me a scare... hahahaaa
I havent thought of anything else i need, but i do need a wart remover for at least two, i got them both in the MTC... hhahaha but thats everything else i need.

Love you guys and be safe!
Love Buddy
