Here is a letter in response to all the questions I asked him. He ended up having trouble downloading pictures this week, so hopefully next week. The next letter is to his dad and the responses to his questions. Sorry if some of it doesn't make sense. It is hard to follow sometimes because you don't know what we said or asked. Be sure & leave comments because I share them with him in my emails. Just laugh at all the hahahaha's! As I read them, I can hear him laughing as he writes!
HEY EVERYONE,
I am doing good, hahaha I can´t believe it has snowed the past few days... oh wait yeah I can it is during the boys soccer season ;) hahahahaha
Good luck at parent teacher conference!!! I know just how much you love that hahaha I am so glad i dont have to worry about that anymore with you and dad coming and hearing about how much I talked in class... hahahaha Glad everyone is asking about me hahahaha that makes me feel missed.
Dont really know where my companion is from... Mexico hahahaha the other gringo is from Maryland and his companion is also from Mexico... I didn´t really have time and I forgot to take my camera most of the time but you will eventually get pictures hahaha Yo Prometo.
Umm I dont know when I will get my mail, thanks for the package you are getting ready too :) You don´t have to make excuses to go down and sleep in my bed every once in a while ;) hehehehe I am not starving and I am actually eating really not too bad, this area is really good for food apparently. Which is good because it eases me into not going and just grabbing a sleeve of Ritz downstairs hahahaha I think the language is getting better everyday but I don´t really know hahahahaha but yes it is better than when I first got here...
BUENO SUERTE!!! in soccer hahaha I wish I could come and yell ;)
KEEP ME UPDATED WITH BUBBA! I will definitely remember him especially right now, since I am praying for you all everyday anyway hahaha.
Well I also miss watching Castle with you... Has Heroes started up again? hahaha it has been like 2 years... I sweep everyweek here too so my sweeping ability wont leave, and it is annoying cause they always walk around in the kitchen!!! hahahaha
I am glad that you raised me to be a good missionary and know about the gospel so I owe most of this to you and dad :) so Thanks :)
HAHAHA there are a ton of drunks here!!! hahahaha it is so funny, the other day one was like running down the street like he was flying then he fell flat on his face, traffic built up cause he was out cold. They honked, he got up and fell right back down but on his back! It was soo funny, they finally had to go out and drag him out of the street to the sidewalk!!!! hahahahahahahaha Grandma sent me a package and I would have gotten it on the 22nd but they didn´t know my name and so they didn´t get it. They thought my name was Elder Stevens... I gave my first blessing in spanish... that went just great hahahaha i didn't remember/know any of the words in Spanish so my companion had to hold the book in front of me and whisper to me corrections... hahahaha good thing the lord knows what i was trying to say! I also laminated my planner and have pictures on it, it looks cool. I am going to have a theme for each one, this one is prophets. Today we played soccer again, and I got soooo sunburned!!!!!! but we were playing and someone left the all mexican team, they were members and investigators? and were good. They were down a player and wanted me to be on their team out of all the others, hahaha I felt special ;) I think they wanted me because I did them all up before the other person left ;) hahahahaha Tell that to Riley and Tally please hahahahaha The language is getting better but still really hard, it is not that they speak too fast, I can pick out words it is just I have no idea what the words mean... A cool part of this week was that I got lowered into a hole in the ground to twist a valve that was four feet down so that the Baptismal font would drain (pictures hopefully included). It was really fun hahaha I get to see conference at the Stake Center but it is in Spanish so I have no idea what I will understand. Thankfully the spirit is the same in all languages! We have 3 baptisms planned for this next Saturday so next e-mail you should get more info about that.
Well Love you guys, stay safe, have fun, CTR, and always remember both me, Jesus, and Heavenly Father Love you !!!!!!
Love, your buddy
Dear Dad,
I am doing good!!! hahahaha the not being able to speak English was one of my biggest fears but now I know that it is pretty much necessary hahaha! HAHAHAHA HOLY COW!!!! that final four sounds crazy hahahaha I pick Butler, Kentucky and Butler to win it all. GO MOM!!! hahaha thats awesome. also, GO USA hahaha that is awesome we tied Argentina!!! I wish I could have seen that and heard what the announcers were saying about the game, were they making excuses for Argentina? and also, GO RSL hahaha they are, it seems like, always the underdog. Then they make people pay for underestimating them!!!! they really arent that bad of a team, as years past have proven, and I think it is funny when we beat the "good" teams in the league.
One more thing about the driving is, I have not seen a line, stop sign, or stop light yet... They just honk if they go through and dont even begin to hesitate! hahaha it is hilarious!
So far I have always asked my companion if the thing I will be eating will be hot, so I can prepare myself for it. Thanks for the incoming package, and does the BYU book have things about Jehovas Witnesses because I really hadnt heard of them till I got down here, I bet it does but just wondering.
1.) umm well there is only one "store" here... I am pretty sure every family or every house has something they are selling. hahahaha so if you run out of something you just go buy it from there, and they are everywhere. But they are usually a bit more expensive, so when we go to the real store, like 10 minutes away, we usually buy for the week.
2.) Money is pretty simple, they just gave me a card and every month they put, I think, $1,300 Pesos on it which is like $110 dollars or somthing like that, so I should be fine and not have to take a lot out of my own accout. Everytime I go to the ATM at the beginning of the month I take all the money out and keep it in the house in the secret bank mom sent me hahahaha.
3.)Milk is cheaper, but then again I am pretty sure it is not real milk... hahahahaha I had a glass of it plain and it wa gross, it tastes a lot better with cereal. The Mexican cereals are pretty cheap and dont taste very good, but the sell American cereals and in big boxes so I usually buy those. They usually cost about the same if not a little more than in America. Don´t know about bread, havent bought it.
4.) We have to have around 25-30 contacts a day and we usually have about 5-7 lessons a day, so its not too bad. We cover one ward and we go to church at 12:00 on Sundays ;) hahahahaha
5.) A normal day I wake up at 6:30, lay in bed for 5ish minutes, get up and "work out" for 35ish minutes, study while everyone takes a shower and then I shower. Then we study till around 10:30/11:00. Then we go and contact/teach lessons. Then at 2:00 we have lunch (over here they just call it comida, which is just food) and then after from around 3:30-8:00 we teach/tract/walk and we go to the bathroom somewhere in there but havent picked out a specific time yet ;) hehehe but then from 8:30-10:30 we study, talk about our day, get stuff ready for tomorrow, or eat. That´s basically what a normal day is like for me.
6.) It took three hours to get to my mission and on the way the watched 2012 (the bus) and it was very hard not to watch so I just fell asleep hahaha. Our area is the farthest away I think...
Well that´s about it, oh one more thing could you send me the overall record for when the US has played Mexico in soccer hahahaha My health is good and my stomach is fine, my body isn´t having that hard of a time adjusting... so thats a good thing.
Well talk to ya next Monday, Love you the mostest dad and I said it first ;) hahaha
Love Buddy

Mexico--Week #1 Mission -- Week #11
HEY EVERYONE!!!!!,
I am doing good :) Everything is awesome and Mexico is also hahahaha. My area is Tecnologico or something like that and my companions name is Elder Gutierrez. He doesnt speak any English hahahaha A little about my area. There are dogs and chickens everywhere!!! there are so many strays just walking, pooping, and sleeping around the town!!! But the weather is awesome, it is way hot and I am sunburned on my arms, ears, face, and neck. This missionary tan line is going to be awesome... hahahaha The houses are so close together and its crazy where they all are too because you go into and alley and it turns out to be an alley of houses. The people here are awesome and way nice. They all stare at me when I walk by and laugh at me when I don´t understand them or when I try to say something in Spanish. hahahaha it is so funny! Everyone we teach and talk to is nice and we havent really been REJECTED just rejected hahahaha. The only people that are bad are the Jehovah´s Witnessess and all they do is bible bash. We were knocking doors on my first day and we went to one and he didnt not stop talking and I didnt understand one word of it hahahahaha. And apparently there are a lot of them around and they are all annoying like that and just dont try to listen.
The house i live in is nice, we share it with one other companionship and they are alright. One of them is kinda annoying and doesnt know what the word personal means but other than that he is alright. When i was unloading my suticase i found out I have enought pills to last me around 10 years!!! hahahahahaha there are sooo many bottles of pills! It is really funny though.
DRIVING HERE IS INSANE!!!! we thought it was bad in New York, nope that is just crowded, I think these people when they drive are actually insane!!! but it is kinda fun hahahaha. Also dont put anything to do with the Virgin Mary on packages or anything like that, they know the packages are for Mormons and they think it is disrespectful and are more likely to do something to it with the stickers on then off. Also apparently it is a rule that we arent supposed to e-mail chat hahaha oops... so no more of that.
I am just going to have everyone e-mail me and i will write them and it will be a faster process...
Kim is probably the only one that is going to do that though because i havent gotten any other letters from anyone else. So confirm to her that she can e-mail me but i will write her back so the rules are not broken. Tell her she wont get my first letter for about 3-4 weeks but then they should start coming faster. Tell her that i wrote her one today and sent it. Also please dont read her e-mails either hahahaha Tell her hi for me :)

My week has gone good, i dont understand anything in the lessons but they seem to be going good hahahahaha I will have more info about it when i can understand the language and i have no idea when that will be.... But we had two people come to church with us this Sunday so I understand that that is a good step hahahaha. We have had lunch at a members house everyday and they all have been awesome! It is usually just tortillas, some kind of meat, some sauces, and a drink that has some kind of fruit blended in with it. On friday we had Watermelon Water, it was really good. They also dont believe in eating Dinner apparently or something because we eat breakfast around 7:30, lunch at 2:00, and then dont get dinner so i just end up having cereal again. We walk a lot and thats fine, we have taught lots of lessons and i would tell you how they went but i honestly dont have a clue how they responded to the questions. I usually just explain who we are and then when they answer me back i look to my companion and he takes it from there and everyonce in a while has me explain what something is. So the language is way hard but i know that i can do it and that it will come if i keep trying.
Just wondering but do you have any good scriptures for me? they can be about anything i am not looking for something specific.
Alright i have two requests and i will seperate them in things i need and things i would like hahahaha. here is the lists. Oh and no more fresh food because it will go to waste.

Mexico is awesome and the weather is also awesome. It is way hot and i am sunburned on my arms, ears, and face. The house i am staying in is really nice, and there are four of us in there. My companion is awesome, he doesnt speak any English so that is another reason why i need to learn. The language is crazy!!! i dont understand any of it usually (about 95%) and the five percent is greetings and gospel words. The food isnt that bad, it is just Tortillas, meat, hot sauce, a drink, and thats about it. And all of it that i have had have been really good so far.
Glad you are all doing good. I know!!!! i am kinda sad that i am missing this year of BYU basketball!!!! but its alright because another year after i get back we will do just as good... or thats what i keep telling myself!
Love you guys and

LETTER TO ROGER
Hey dad :) i will just send you a short letter to just you. hahahahah
well Mexico is awesome, warm, and friendly. They all stare at me and then laugh at me when i cant understand them or try to talk hahahaha it is so funny!!! I got to play soccer today. It was fun, we played 4 on 4 and it was four Mexicans against four Americans and i was the only one that knew how to play on my team... But it was still fun, as soccer always is to me :)
I cant believe BYU!!!!!!!!!! That is sooo awesome, i wish i could see it!!! But i hope they keep playing good! Glad Man U is back on track, finally hahaha after what 3-4 games?
Sounds like Alta is going to surprise everyone! I didn´t think Brighton was going to have that great of a team this year, and Davis is only good because of who they play and the one kid that scores a lot of goals on crappy teams. hahahahaha oh well we will see!!!
Love you and Love,Buddy

HE MADE IT!!!!
Hey everyone sorry I didn't call and let you know when I got to Mexico but we didn't have any time. We were running around with our bad Spanish trying to figure out where we needed to be and it took all three hours of layover!!! It was crazy!!! Well anyway, I am here now, and I just got interviewed by the mission president, who is awesome by the way!!!, and I am going to the area Tecnologico and my trainor is named Elder Gutierrez. It is awesome here!!! it is really hot but it is alright. They also don't really eat that much. But what I have eaten so far has been really good. I also feel like I don't know any Spanish!!! hahahaha it is bad, but I will get it eventually. One of my favorite quotes is "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it" so even though I am having troubles now I know if I keep working hard it will come. Also tell J.D. sorry for cutting out on him and tell him there is a really good reason. Which is the plane was boarding and the companion that was supposed to be with me apparently left and I was alone so they had to run to find me and then run back to the plane. I had no idea. So tell J.D. sorry for hanging up on him. Well just know that I am o.k. and I still love you! also i am able to play soccer here and everything!!! It is so cool!!! the only thing that worries me is he told me he needed a trainer to be ready in 3-4 months. Anyway just know that I am here, safe, on my way to my area tomorrow morning and will get to e-mail you about everything I need on Monday because that is when the P-day is. So until then have fun be safe and I love you. Here is a picture of all the missionaries and the Mission President. :) Love you guys. Tell everyone at home hi for me and tell them that I can get e-mails from them but I cant write back on e-mail and they wont get my mail for around a month or so. . . . hahahahahaha

Finally...An Update!
I promise I will get better at keeping this updated! It is a bit more emotional than I thought it would be!
His "OFFICIAL" name tag! So cool to actually see it! I have wanted him to have one of these since he was born!
Lookin' Good in someone else's coat!
Elder Kristopher Evans & Elder Jordan Widdison. Jordan's family lives in our ward. He is headed to Bolivia.
The District's Name Tags
I don't know who this Elder is for sure, but he is one big boy! Kristopher is about 5' 11" and he towers over him. I was hoping they might go to the same mission & be companions so Bud would have a bodyguard!
