Monday, June 27th

Mom,

No offense I didn't really like getting ready for camp week... especially when I had to make those book things hahahaha! The package came today and after writing we are going to go and get it!!! Dont worry about when you send it, and transfers are in 2 weeks... hahaha. Lorenzo is the same, everything we tell him doesnt seem to affect his decision at all.... but we will keep trying. He does still take notes, and yes we get "potential" investigators almost daily through contacting, but very few actually stay. Soccer is still going good, dont play every week cause we dont usually have a ball now. Well the shoes we bought are pretty much boots... hahaha and only one of my pairs of pants has ripped and I am going to ask a sister in our ward to sew them back for me :) hahahaha. We havent gotten the new fridge & fans yet because we need to wait till the beginning of the month when we have money. The President is awesome! He is very nice, spiritual, and really does love everyone of his missionaries. He just seems a bit of a numbers guy to me. I would send pictures but the thing is I need to hurry because I dont have money to pay for the computer so I have to it fast so I dont have a lot to pay next week for two times using them.
My week was pretty good, Just the usual stuff until Friday. Friday we had a training from 9 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. It was very good, we practiced on how to make commitments and how to make sure they actually do them. Taught us a better way to ask to be baptized and stuff like that. We would get a talk about the subject, a demonstration, and then all the missionaries would practice on each other what they learned. It went really well. Then from 6 to 8 the assistent to the president (Elder Hernandez, who is the trainer of Elder Gutierrez, so my "grandpa") went and taugh with us. He is awesome and bashed Elder Gutierrez because he is starting to really slack off, which means I was starting to too. But we had a talk (I talked he listened) about what we really need to be doing and how we need to be doing it. Those three things kinda woke him up and we actually started to do what I thought I would be doing out here. We had 31 contacts and 4 lessons on Saturday. It is the first day I have had over 18 contacts and that is pretty bad. Then we had a Stake council on Sunday and once again made big plans, we will see if we do them because we didn't do anything with our plans last time. I also kinda bashed our ward with this too after we made all the plans because they were just saying big things (same as last time) and werent really planning on how to do them. So I told them that unless they are really willing to do these things don't put them down. Also that we are going to be having a meeting with them where we teach them how to use Preach My Gospel. It should be good.
Well Sounds like Jessica has been having fun, How many numbers did she get from EFY? hahaha Where did the stinking story come from that Kenna sent, I maybe cried a little bit (I have turned into quite the baby since the mission started) hahahahaha
Well thats about it, continue to have fun and be safe. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Love Buddy :)

Last Weeks Letter--June 20th.

Not sure anyone looks at this but me since no one comments but Cricket! Thanks Cricket! But I will keep posting just in case someone really is reading it.

Dear Mom,

Glad Jessica got her card hahaha I really liked it :) I take when you say some of us more than others means someone got burned? hahaha who is it? hahaha never really had the desire to see Grease like the others that I have seen, but glad you liked it. Good luck with all the computer stuff that you are working on hahahaha sounds like a ton of work. Nobody in my house sleeps in a hammock and we dont really have any bug problems at all. I do have boots but I dont need them in this area. I will probably when I move or if I move to a more jungly area. YAY!! I do want pics of the baptism! Tell her good job for me and give her a hug for me too :)Money is fine, I only need it when I want to buy something for me, and that is not going to be for a while because I have already bought everything I need. I do have snacks so its alright, I am not always hungry dont worry... hahahaha You should have Bill give you Nate´s address so I can write him. My companion is from Queretaro Mexico. HI KENNA!!!
Well the little bit of bad luck continued onto Wednesday night, but now it is all back to normal now and it is good :) Will you tell Kim that I got her graduation invitation and that it looks really good, especially the picture that came with it ;) hahahaha We have a new investigator that when we teach him takes notes on what we say. It is kinda weird and makes me nervous because you cant say anything wrong because then he will ask you about it afterwards. He is really good thought, he calls me hermanito Evans (little brother Evans) hahaha and gives us hugs after lessons. :) We found out the reason Lorenzo wont get baptized yet, he is waiting so that his family can come up and be with him on the day of his baptism... I guess that is a good reason hahaha but now we are going to tell him that if he can be baptized soon, he can baptize his family when they take the lessons and everything. We will see how that goes. Our zone had our interviews with the Mission President. That was good except it made me kinda frustrated when he got frustrated with me for not baptizing the first 2 months of my mission. He is letting us by a new fridge and two new fans because last week I told him what was happening and he didnt really now all of that had happened (dont have fans or a fridge, the money got sent to the wrong zone, the offices kept forgetting to ask the pres. stuff like that). We had four investigators at Church yesterday and I taught a lesson on the History of the Church, I thought it was pretty good and I think others did too. Well at least I hope they did hahaha. My week has been good, my stomach is good and the language is still coming hahaha.
You asked for stuff for a new package here is a list: A good skin helper after lots of sun, 5 boxes of good band-aids (all the ones here are kinda cheap), an eye coverer for sleeping (we live on the park side of the house and their lights dont turn off and it is annoying), A new True to the Faith book (I marked mine up for some reason and it is bad), and Institute books on the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price (if they even have one for the PGP). I think they are called "A guide for the Students" They have them here for institute students in Spanish and they dont really sell them anywhere else. Oh and a bit of candy too :) hahaha

Love you guys have a great summer!!!

P.S. BANAANA!!!! (I didnt spell it wrong that is how it is spelled when I say it hahaha)

Back Online! Finally!

After my computer crashed last week, I didn't know if I would be back online for a while, but luckily I am only a week behind, Here is yesterday's letter. He sounds so happy! Thanks to everyone that keeps him in their prayers and reads this blog! As you can tell by all the HAHAHA's he is still laughing and smiling!

Dear Family,

The rope is needed so I have something other to do with exercise other than pushups and 2 situps... hahahahaha! Really, all the weeks are really fast for me... It is way weird hahaha! Dad is awesome! That is so cool that he got them all back. (pictures) I prayed way hard for it too, haha! I dont think I have ever prayed for anything like that before... Go Jessica!!! wahoo that is awesome that she made the team! I understand that she is busy, because I had summers just like hers. Tell her to have fun first and do everything she wants to and then e-mail me last because I want to hear about the fun things hahaha! Just tell Kenna to go and kick Tally and Riley`s butts hahahaha! Have fun in St. George, You might actually have warm weather!!! hahaha
I am doing good and yes I did get the package :) thanks :) It made me really happy and made my week. I also really like the letters that everyone wrote me :) Tell them all thanks for me :) We had a Multi Zone conference on Wednesday and Pres. Tenorio (area president) was there and , of the parts that I understood, gave a good talk. :) that is also when I got my package, so it was a good day. The last week we have had some really bad luck with our investigators, they either have not been there or have been sick. One actually went to the hospital. So yeah, but we are still teaching and everything. We got Lorenzo to commit to a date for his baptism, unfortunately he wants it on his birthday...... which is on September 20..... hahaha so we are going to work on bringing that date a little closer hahaha! We sang a hymn this last Sunday and I thought it was pretty good but then again I was banned from singing with rockband at our house so who knows hahaha! We sang "We Are All Enlisted", first verse Spanish, Second English, Third first part in Spanish and then at the chorus I changed to English. It was very well planned out but probably not very well sung hahaha. Then we had a Baptism in the ward and they asked me and Elder Gutierrez to give the talks. I gave mine on Baptism and Confirmation. It was sooo cool, I just talked!!! I didnt have to think of how to say a word or anything, I just talked, made sense, and did a pretty good job. It made me really happy. The people we teach varies a lot, the Lorenzo guy said that he was an addict to a drug, and now he is going to be baptized, We are trying to complete another family but we still need to get the dad to take his Jesus down off the wall, so Elder Gutierrez is making lead on a lesson about Idols... I am really nervous! Everyone that we teach is usually excited to go to all the events that the church is having and stuff. We took Mayo to learn how to make a type of bread I cant remember the name of, we also took her daughter and showed them the baptismal font and immediately the daughter smiled and said she wanted it. hahaha, and then after my companion was like yes! when we win the kids over the parents always follow!!! So now we just need to teach them the lessons :)
That's about it, have a fun and awesome summer! But dont do too many fun things without me ;) hahaha just kidding do anything you guys want to. Be safe, have fun, and do everything you do the best you can :)
