Here is a letter in response to all the questions I asked him. He ended up having trouble downloading pictures this week, so hopefully next week. The next letter is to his dad and the responses to his questions. Sorry if some of it doesn't make sense. It is hard to follow sometimes because you don't know what we said or asked. Be sure & leave comments because I share them with him in my emails. Just laugh at all the hahahaha's! As I read them, I can hear him laughing as he writes!
HEY EVERYONE,
I am doing good, hahaha I can´t believe it has snowed the past few days... oh wait yeah I can it is during the boys soccer season ;) hahahahaha
Good luck at parent teacher conference!!! I know just how much you love that hahaha I am so glad i dont have to worry about that anymore with you and dad coming and hearing about how much I talked in class... hahahaha Glad everyone is asking about me hahahaha that makes me feel missed.
Dont really know where my companion is from... Mexico hahahaha the other gringo is from Maryland and his companion is also from Mexico... I didn´t really have time and I forgot to take my camera most of the time but you will eventually get pictures hahaha Yo Prometo.
Umm I dont know when I will get my mail, thanks for the package you are getting ready too :) You don´t have to make excuses to go down and sleep in my bed every once in a while ;) hehehehe I am not starving and I am actually eating really not too bad, this area is really good for food apparently. Which is good because it eases me into not going and just grabbing a sleeve of Ritz downstairs hahahaha I think the language is getting better everyday but I don´t really know hahahahaha but yes it is better than when I first got here...
BUENO SUERTE!!! in soccer hahaha I wish I could come and yell ;)
KEEP ME UPDATED WITH BUBBA! I will definitely remember him especially right now, since I am praying for you all everyday anyway hahaha.
Well I also miss watching Castle with you... Has Heroes started up again? hahaha it has been like 2 years... I sweep everyweek here too so my sweeping ability wont leave, and it is annoying cause they always walk around in the kitchen!!! hahahaha
I am glad that you raised me to be a good missionary and know about the gospel so I owe most of this to you and dad :) so Thanks :)
HAHAHA there are a ton of drunks here!!! hahahaha it is so funny, the other day one was like running down the street like he was flying then he fell flat on his face, traffic built up cause he was out cold. They honked, he got up and fell right back down but on his back! It was soo funny, they finally had to go out and drag him out of the street to the sidewalk!!!! hahahahahahahaha Grandma sent me a package and I would have gotten it on the 22nd but they didn´t know my name and so they didn´t get it. They thought my name was Elder Stevens... I gave my first blessing in spanish... that went just great hahahaha i didn't remember/know any of the words in Spanish so my companion had to hold the book in front of me and whisper to me corrections... hahahaha good thing the lord knows what i was trying to say! I also laminated my planner and have pictures on it, it looks cool. I am going to have a theme for each one, this one is prophets. Today we played soccer again, and I got soooo sunburned!!!!!! but we were playing and someone left the all mexican team, they were members and investigators? and were good. They were down a player and wanted me to be on their team out of all the others, hahaha I felt special ;) I think they wanted me because I did them all up before the other person left ;) hahahahaha Tell that to Riley and Tally please hahahahaha The language is getting better but still really hard, it is not that they speak too fast, I can pick out words it is just I have no idea what the words mean... A cool part of this week was that I got lowered into a hole in the ground to twist a valve that was four feet down so that the Baptismal font would drain (pictures hopefully included). It was really fun hahaha I get to see conference at the Stake Center but it is in Spanish so I have no idea what I will understand. Thankfully the spirit is the same in all languages! We have 3 baptisms planned for this next Saturday so next e-mail you should get more info about that.
Well Love you guys, stay safe, have fun, CTR, and always remember both me, Jesus, and Heavenly Father Love you !!!!!!
Love, your buddy
Dear Dad,
I am doing good!!! hahahaha the not being able to speak English was one of my biggest fears but now I know that it is pretty much necessary hahaha! HAHAHAHA HOLY COW!!!! that final four sounds crazy hahahaha I pick Butler, Kentucky and Butler to win it all. GO MOM!!! hahaha thats awesome. also, GO USA hahaha that is awesome we tied Argentina!!! I wish I could have seen that and heard what the announcers were saying about the game, were they making excuses for Argentina? and also, GO RSL hahaha they are, it seems like, always the underdog. Then they make people pay for underestimating them!!!! they really arent that bad of a team, as years past have proven, and I think it is funny when we beat the "good" teams in the league.
One more thing about the driving is, I have not seen a line, stop sign, or stop light yet... They just honk if they go through and dont even begin to hesitate! hahaha it is hilarious!
So far I have always asked my companion if the thing I will be eating will be hot, so I can prepare myself for it. Thanks for the incoming package, and does the BYU book have things about Jehovas Witnesses because I really hadnt heard of them till I got down here, I bet it does but just wondering.
1.) umm well there is only one "store" here... I am pretty sure every family or every house has something they are selling. hahahaha so if you run out of something you just go buy it from there, and they are everywhere. But they are usually a bit more expensive, so when we go to the real store, like 10 minutes away, we usually buy for the week.
2.) Money is pretty simple, they just gave me a card and every month they put, I think, $1,300 Pesos on it which is like $110 dollars or somthing like that, so I should be fine and not have to take a lot out of my own accout. Everytime I go to the ATM at the beginning of the month I take all the money out and keep it in the house in the secret bank mom sent me hahahaha.
3.)Milk is cheaper, but then again I am pretty sure it is not real milk... hahahahaha I had a glass of it plain and it wa gross, it tastes a lot better with cereal. The Mexican cereals are pretty cheap and dont taste very good, but the sell American cereals and in big boxes so I usually buy those. They usually cost about the same if not a little more than in America. Don´t know about bread, havent bought it.
4.) We have to have around 25-30 contacts a day and we usually have about 5-7 lessons a day, so its not too bad. We cover one ward and we go to church at 12:00 on Sundays ;) hahahahaha
5.) A normal day I wake up at 6:30, lay in bed for 5ish minutes, get up and "work out" for 35ish minutes, study while everyone takes a shower and then I shower. Then we study till around 10:30/11:00. Then we go and contact/teach lessons. Then at 2:00 we have lunch (over here they just call it comida, which is just food) and then after from around 3:30-8:00 we teach/tract/walk and we go to the bathroom somewhere in there but havent picked out a specific time yet ;) hehehe but then from 8:30-10:30 we study, talk about our day, get stuff ready for tomorrow, or eat. That´s basically what a normal day is like for me.
6.) It took three hours to get to my mission and on the way the watched 2012 (the bus) and it was very hard not to watch so I just fell asleep hahaha. Our area is the farthest away I think...
Well that´s about it, oh one more thing could you send me the overall record for when the US has played Mexico in soccer hahahaha My health is good and my stomach is fine, my body isn´t having that hard of a time adjusting... so thats a good thing.
Well talk to ya next Monday, Love you the mostest dad and I said it first ;) hahaha
Love Buddy

I am jealous that you can email him and get info and answers! I sent one dear elder letter thru the pouch 2 weeks ago and another one last night. Is he only allowed to email parents? I am still waiting for the first "letter" from Mexico. Can I send him some stamps and stuff? Will it get there?
So fun hearing about all of this! Ty likes hearing about the soccer stuff and remembering his mission. Tell him we love him and think of him often!
